Description
How It Works — 3 Simple Steps
Cyanotype is one of the oldest and most beautiful photographic printing processes. Used by artists and scientists since 1842, it creates stunning Prussian blue prints using nothing but sunlight and water.
Step 1 — Prepare
Mix the two solutions and coat your paper with the brush. Let it dry in a dark place for 10–15 minutes. That’s it — your paper is ready to print.
Step 2 — Expose
Place leaves, flowers, drawings or any flat object on your coated paper. Take it outside and let the sun do the work. 5–15 minutes depending on sunlight.
Step 3 — Reveal
Rinse your print under cold water and watch the image appear. Deep blues where the sun hit, white where your objects blocked the light. Every print is completely unique.
